Donald Carpenter Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX -- A hit-and-run crash in Lubbock, Texas left 57-year-old Donald Carpenter with injuries around 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

The incident happened at the Racer Classic Car Wash at Fourth Street and Frankford Avenue. According to police, a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Dakota James Griffin ran over Mr. Carpenter several times. Mr. Carpenter was taken to a local hospital, where he was last listed in serious but stable condition.

Authorities in the area of Lubbock, Texas were investigating the scene of the incident in an effort to determine the exact cause.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing.
