Motorcyclist Killed in Elkhart, IN, Accident on County Road 6

Elkhart, IN -- May 18, 2017, a man was killed as the result of an accident in which his motorcycle and another vehicle collided on County Road 6.

Investigators from local emergency response crews reported that the accident happened at around 4:40 a.m. The location was said to be near the intersection of County Road 6 and Northland Drive.

According to police investigations, a man was riding a motorcycle along westbound County Road 6. As he did so, an SUV somehow crossed his path at the Northland intersection. This resulted in a collision that ejected the motorcyclist, who was then hit by a third vehicle.

The victim was wearing a helmet, but his injuries proved fatal. He died at the scene. No other injuries occurred.

Police have not yet released details on what caused the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
