James Davis Killed in Wichita Falls, TX, Motorcycle Accident

Wichita Falls, TX -- May 17, 2017, James Davis was killed following an accident in which his motorcycle crashed off the side of the road.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials responded to the accident scene at around 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of River Road and Lower Charlie Road.

According to initial investigations, 57-year-old Davis was driving a motorcycle along River Road at the time. For reasons which are not entirely clear, the motorcycle suddenly lost control and traveled off the side of the roadway. The vehicle crashed into a ditch, ejecting Davis off of the motorcycle.

Davis suffered critical injuries in the accident. EMS transported him to United Regional Hospital for treatment, but he later died there. No one else was involved in the accident.

Police say that investigations into the cause of the accident are still ongoing at this time.
