One Injured in Austin, TX, Car Accident on FM 969

Austin, TX -- May 17, 2017, one person was seriously injured following an accident in which their vehicle and two others crashed on FM 969.

Authorities from the Austin Police Department were called out to the scene of the three-vehicle accident, which they say happened at around 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of FM 969 and Imperial Drive.

According to preliminary police investigations, three vehicles were all traveling through the intersection with an unspecified number of occupants. Police did not release information regarding who or what might have caused the accident.

As a result of the collision, one person suffered critical injuries and was rushed over to University Medical Center-Brackenridge for intensive care. The conditions of the others involved were not reported.

Police reported no citations or charges resulting from the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
