One Injured in Magnolia, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident on FM 1488

Magnolia, TX -- May 14, 2017, one person was critically injured following an accident in which their vehicle crashed off the side of FM 1488.

Rescue personnel from the Magnolia Fire Department were called out to the accident scene in the early morning hours of Sunday. They say the crash occurred near the intersection of FM 1488 and Country Forest Road.

According to rescue officials, a person was driving their Ford SUV along the westbound lanes of FM 1488. For reasons which have not yet been determined, the vehicle lost control and ran off the side of the road. It crashed through several obstacles before hitting a traffic pole and coming to a halt.

Upon extraction by rescue workers, the driver was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. No one else was involved in the wreck.

No official cause for the accident has been reported at this time. Authorities continue their investigations.
