Woman Injured in San Antonio, TX, Car Accident on FM 2538

San Antonio, TX -- May 12, 2017, a woman was injured as the result of an accident in which her vehicle crashed off the side of FM 2538.

The San Antonio Police Department was called out to investigate the accident in the northeast part of the city. They say it happened just after 9:00 a.m. near the intersection of FM 2538 and I-10.

Preliminary details state that a woman, whose identity has not been released, was traveling along FM 2538 at the time. For reasons which police have yet to determine, the vehicle somehow drifted out of its lane and came into contact with the curve. This caused the vehicle to lost control and run off-road, eventually crashing head-on into a tree.

The woman reportedly sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. She was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. No other people appear to have been involved.

At this time, police continue their investigations. No further information is currently available.
