Man Killed in Killeen, TX, Pedestrian Accident on US 190

Killeen, TX -- May 16, 2017, a man suffered fatal injuries due to an accident in which he was struck by a vehicle while walking on US 190.

Officers from the Killeen Police Department were called out to the accident scene at around 6:00 a.m. It happened near the intersection of US Highway 190 and W. S. Young Drive.

According to police investigators, a man, whose identity has not been released, was walking along US 190 and attempted to cross traffic lanes. As he did so, an oncoming vehicle somehow failed to see the man in time, resulting in a collision.

The man was thrown onto the roadway and sustained critical injuries. Emergency services say he died at the scene.

Police did not report any charges or citations resulting from the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
