Kenneth Fletcher Killed in Boating Accident in Jasper County, TX

Jasper County, TX -- A boating accident led to the death of 76-year-old Kenneth Fletcher Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the area of Jasper County, TX.

The incident took place on Tiger Creek.

Officials say Mr. Fletcher went out to fish and when he didn't return that evening, authorities were called. Upon arrival, officials found the man's body partially submerged. Authorities believe Mr. Fletcher was attempting to untangle a rope from the boat's propeller when he lost balance, falling into the water.

The exact cause of the incident remains under investigation.
