Robert Eckstrand Injured in Accident in New Ulm, MN

New Ulm, MN -- A crash in the area of New Ulm, MN Sunday, May 7, 2017 left 53-year-old Robert Eckstrand with serious injuries.

The incident took place on County Road 21 around 4:45 p.m.

According to police, the deceased victim was headed east on 21 when his bike was struck by a vehicle turning into Harkin Store. The investigation into the incident revealed the driver of the passenger car was 21-year-old Ashley Sadler. The collision forced Mr. Eckstrand from the back of the bike, where he landed in a nearby ravine.

Mr. Eckstrand was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, and he was last listed in critical condition.
