Trucker Killed in Buckeye, AZ, 18-wheeler Accident on Highway 85

Buckeye, AZ -- May 11, 2017, a truck driver was killed as the result of an accident where two 18-wheelers collided on Highway 85.

Troopers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety were called out to investigate the accident, which they say happened at around 11:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 85 and Baseline Road.

According to preliminary investigations, two 18-wheelers were traveling through the intersection when they somehow crossed paths and collided into each other. The collision caused a fire to break out.

One of the truck drivers suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The other escaped with minor injuries.

At this time, no charges or citations have been reported. The details surrounding the crash are still scarce at this time.
