Steven Brown, Richard Smoot Injured in Accident in Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX -- A collision between two semi-trucks left 42-year-old Richard Smoot and 60-year-old Steven Brown with injuries Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Lubbock, TX.

The incident took place on U.S. 84 & FM 1585 close to Slaton around 8:30 a.m.

According to the report, a semi-truck driven by 42-year-old Richard Smoot was eastbound when his vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. The first vehicle then struck a second semi driven by 60-year-old Steven Brown.

Mr. Brown was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Richard Smoot was treated and released at the scene of the incident.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
