3 Injured in Manchester, VT, Hit-and-run Truck Accident on Depot

Manchester, VT -- May 9, 2017, three people were injured as the result of an accident where a truck hit their vehicle on Depot Street then fled the scene.

The Manchester Police Department was called out to the accident scene at around 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of Depot Street and Taconic Business Park Road.

According to reports, a box truck and a passenger vehicle were traveling side-by-side along eastbound Depot Street. Surveillance footage from nearby the Aubuchon Hardware store showed the truck drift to the side and strike the car, which sent the car off the side of the road. The car then rolled over, and the box truck continued down the road and left the scene.

Emergency medical services came to the scene and transported all three passengers to a nearby hospital for treatment. One person was said to have serious injuries.

Authorities are following leads in relation to the suspect driver, though no arrests have been reported at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
