Laurena Vanderboon & Amy Larson Hurt in Accident in Ada Township, MI

Ada Township, MI -- A two-vehicle collision in Ada Township, MI left 89-year-old Laurena Vanderboon and 33-year-old Amy Larson injured Thursday, May 11, 2017.

The incident happened on Grand River Drive near Michigan Street around 5:20 p.m.

According to police, an SUV headed south was waiting to make a left turn into a parking lot when it was struck on the rear drivers' side.

Ms. Vanderboon, the front-seat passenger in the second vehicle, was left with critical injuries.

Amy Larson, the driver of the first vehicle, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing.
