Mike Torres Sr. Killed, One Hurt in Semi vs. Pickup Truck Accident in North Platte, NE

North Platte, NE -- A collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck left 73-year-old Mike Torres Sr. dead in the area of North Platte, NE Thursday, May 11, 2017.

The report claims the incident took place around 3:15 p.m.

The two vehicles collided, leaving the pickup truck flipped onto its top.

The passenger in the pickup truck, Mr. Torres Sr., was killed at the scene of the incident. The driver of the pickup was left with injuries.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

It appears the news outlets seem to have made up their minds about what occurred less than a day after this accident. As is the norm, they seem to side with the driver of the semi-truck. I'm not implying the driver of the truck was definitely at fault, but that's the point. There's no way for anyone, myself or news media alike, to know who was at fault until the outcome of a more thorough investigation.
