Kaelin Kersh Killed, Noel Collier, Tanequa Alexander & State Trooper Hurt in Accident in Starkville, MS

Starkville, MS -- A two-vehicle collision in the area of Starkville, MS led to the death of 22-year-old Kaelin Kersh and left Noel Collier, Tanequa Alexander and a state trooper with injuries.

The incident took place at Highway 182 and Mayhew Road.

According to the report, Ms. Kersh, Mr. Collier and Ms. Alexander were the occupants of a vehicle that was struck by an MHP SUV. Police say the trooper was on the way to a separate accident when his vehicle collided with the first vehicle.

The collision claimed the life of Ms. Kersh, a track athlete at Mississippi State University.

21-year-old Mr. Collier and 22-year-old Ms. Alexander were both left with moderate injuries.

The unidentified state trooper was left minor injuries in the incident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
