One Killed in Edna, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident on FM 3131

Edna, TX -- May 11, 2017, one person was killed as the result of an accident where their vehicle crashed off the roadway south of town.

Edna Police Department officials released preliminary information surrounding the fatal wreck, which they say occurred at around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of FM 3131 and FM 1822.

Preliminary police investigations indicate that a person, whose identity has yet to be released, was traveling down the road near the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority building. As they did so, for reasons not yet clear, the vehicle lost control and ran off the side of the road.

A collision occurred off-road that was severe enough to fatally injure the driver. EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
