Leo S. Britt, Niel Hines & Sydney Hines Killed in Accident in Idaho Falls, ID

Idaho Falls, ID -- A boating incident in a reservoir in Eastern Idaho left 69-year-old Leo S. Britt, 64-year-old Niel Hines and 44-year-old Sydney Hines dead Saturday, May 6, 2017.

According to police, the three victims were on a camping trip at the Palisades Reservoir when their motor boat capsized. Thought the trio were wearing lifejackets, officials believe they may have died from hypothermia.

The exact cause of the incident had yet to be determined at the time the report.

Local officials are investigating the details of the incident in an effort to determine the cause.
