7 Injured in Fort Worth, TX, School Bus Accident on Risinger

Fort Worth, TX -- May 10, 2017, seven people were injured following an accident where a school bus and a vehicle crashed on West Risinger Road.

Fort Worth Police Department investigators were called out to the scene of the accident just outside of Crowley Middle School, just off the intersection of Risinger Road and Cove Meadow Lane.

At Around 8:30 a.m., a school bus carrying roughly 37 students was traveling along Risinger on its way to the nearby middle school. For reasons which were not made clear, the school bus was struck from behind by another vehicle.

As a result of this collision, emergency services came to the scene and ultimately transported seven students to a nearby hospital. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. It's unclear if anyone else was injured.

Police did not say if any charges or citations resulted from the accident. No further information is available.
