Driver Injured in Travis County, TX, Truck Accident on TX-130

Travis County, TX -- May 10, 2017, a driver was injured due to an accident in which his 18-wheeler crashed on State Highway 130.

Authorities from Travis County Police were called out to investigate the accident at around 3:10 a.m. just south of the intersection of State Highway 130 and Manor Expressway.

According to police investigators, a man, said to be in his 40s, was driving a semi-trailer along the northbound lanes of Highway 130. As he did so, the truck somehow lost control and veered off the side of the highway. This caused it to overturn into an embankment.

The driver of the truck sustained serious injuries in the accident. Emergency services transported him to University Medical Center-Brackenridge for treatment.

At this time, police have not indicated what might have caused the accident. They say investigations are ongoing.
