11-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Accident near 3000 8th Avenue in Evans, CO

Evans, CO -- An alleged alcohol-related incident in the area of Evans, CO left an 11-year-old boy with injuries Sunday, May 7, 2017.

Police say the boy was riding his bike near 3000 8th Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Leonardo Guierrez. Police have yet to determine the exact cause of the incident, but say they believe alcohol was a factor.

The boy, whose identity remains unknown, was taken to a local hospital, and was last listed in critical condition.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
