Man Killed, Woman Injured in Houston, TX, Accident on Tidwell

Houston, TX -- May 8, 2017, a man was killed and a woman was injured as the result of an accident where their vehicle crashed off of Tidwell Road.

Police investigators released preliminary details surrounding the accident. They say it occurred around 4:30 a.m. along Tidwell Road, just east of the Mesa Drive intersection.

According to Houston PD officials, a man was driving a Ford Fusion along westbound Tidwell Road. For reasons which have yet to be determined, the vehicle lost control and went off the side of the road. As a result, it crashed into a tree.

Emergency services were called out to the scene of the accident to render aid. The female passenger was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. The man died at the scene.

Police have not yet determined what factors may have contributed to the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
