Man Killed in Fort Worth, TX, Pedestrian Accident on Lancaster

Fort Worth, TX -- May 9, 2017, a man suffered fatal injuries as the result of an accident where he was struck by a vehicle on Lancaster Avenue.

Authorities from the Fort Worth Police Department were called out to the accident scene at around 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Grandview Drive.

According to police officials, a 25-year-old man was walking in the area of Lancaster when he somehow crossed paths with an oncoming vehicle. The driver failed to avoid the pedestrian, and a collision occurred. The pedestrian was left in the road in critical condition while the driver fled the scene.

Emergency services were able to transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital for treatment. He later died there.

At this time, no suspect description has been given. Police continue their investigations.
