Robert Garrett & Phillip Hannon Injured in Accident in Washington Twp., IN

Washington Township, IN -- A collision involving a tanker truck left two people, 30-year-old Robert Garrett and Phillip Hannon, 66, with injuries Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Police officials say the incident took place near County Road 400 North and Indiana 2 around 5 p.m.

The report claims Mr. Garrett was the occupant of a Toyota Corolla headed southwest on 2 when the vehicle nearly collided with an oncoming tanker truck. The propane truck, driven by Phillip Hannon, rolled over as a result of an attempted evasive maneuver.

Both Mr. Garrett and Mr. Hannon required extrication from their respective vehicles.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing.
