Two Hurt in Accident on 24th and Dumas Drive in Amarillo, TX

Amarillo, TX -- A crash involving two vehicles left two unidentified people hurt in the area of Amarillo, TX Sunday, May 7, 2017.

According to police, the incident took place at 24th and Dumas Drive around 3:15 p.m.

It looks like the two vehicles were headed north on Dumas when one of the vehicles attempted to switch lanes. In doing so, the vehicle struck a second vehicle which then lost control, crashed into a median, then rolled.

Two people in one of the cars, a 28-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy, were thrown from the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The official investigation is ongoing.
