Officer, Driver Injured in Temple, TX, Accident on H. K. Dodgen

Temple, TX -- May 4, 2017, a police officer and another driver were injured following an accident in which their vehicles crashed on H. K. Hodgens.

Temple Police Department officials reported preliminary information regarding the two-vehicle accident. They say it happened at around 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of the H. K. Dodgen Loop and South 31st Street.

Officials say that a Temple Police Officer was on the way to an emergency call at the time. As the officer drove through the crossing, he crossed paths with another vehicle driving through the intersection. This resulted in a collision, injuring both drivers.

Reports indicate that the drivers were both transported to Scott & White Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions were not specified.

Police did not report any additional details regarding the crash.
