Jesus Segura Killed in Montgomery County, TX, Pedestrian Accident

Montgomery County, TX -- May 5, 2017, Jesus Segura was fatally injured as the result of an accident where he was struck by a vehicle on the highway.

According to preliminary details released by the Montgomery County Police Department, the incident took place at around 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 249 and FM 1774, just outside Pinehurst.

Police reported that 34-year-old Segura was walking at the time when he attempted to cross traffic lanes of Highway 249. He crossed paths with an oncoming vehicle, and the driver did not stop in time to avoid the accident. As a result, the vehicle struck Segura in the roadway.

Segura suffered critical injuries from which he died at the scene. No other injuries occurred.

Police did not report any charges or citations resulting from the accident. They say they are continuing to investigate the factors surrounding the incident.
