Kimberly Gilbert Killed in Conroe, TX, Car Accident

Conroe, TX -- May 5, 2017, Kimberly Gilbert suffered fatal injuries due to an accident where her vehicle and another crashed along the highway.

Investigators from the Conroe Police Department were called out to the accident scene in the late afternoon hours of Friday near the intersection of State Highway 105 and Highland Hollow Drive.

According to preliminary police reports,53-year-old Gilbert turned onto the highway on her way home from work. As she did so, the path of her vehicle and that of an oncoming pickup somehow crossed. This led to a collision.

Due to the collision, Gilbert sustained critical injuries. She passed away at the scene of the accident. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Police did not say what factors may have contributed to this accident. No further information has been released.
