William Kinder Killed in Montgomery County, VA, Truck Accident

Montgomery County, VA -- May 3, 2017, William Kinder Jr. was fatally injured after an accident where he was run over by a lumber truck.

Montgomery County emergency officials reported that the fatal incident took place at a Turman Lumber Company facility located at 3504 Mud Pike, just north of I-81.

Preliminary accident investigations indicate that 52-year-old Kinder was doing repair work on the truck at the time. Reports say when the truck was turned on, it was in reverse and began to roll. It could not be stopped in time and rolled over Kinder, inflicting critical injuries.

It's unclear from reports if Kinder died at the scene or later on in a hospital. There were no other injuries reported, and details surrounding the incident are still vague.

Additional details depend on further investigations.
