Man Killed in Houston, TX, Pedestrian Accident on Bellfort Avenue

Houston, TX -- May 4, 2017, a man was struck and killed as the result of an accident where he crossed paths with a vehicle on Bellfort Avenue.

According to initial reports from the Houston Police Department, the fatal incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Bellfort and Runnymeade Drive.

Police investigators stated that a man, whose identity wasn't released, was attempting to cross West Bellfort on foot. As he did so, he crossed paths with a vehicle driving along the road. The driver could not avoid the pedestrian in time, and a collision occurred.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver remained at the scene to assist police. No charges were filed.

No further information was released.
