6-Year-Old Killed in Accident on Township Road 2704 in Ashland Co., OH

Ashland County, OH -- A 6-year-old boy was killed due to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Ashland County, OH Monday, May 1, 2017.

Police claim the victim was the occupant of a 2007 Dodge Caliber headed east on Township Road 2704 around 12:25 p.m. The vehicle for unknown reasons careened off the roadway, struck a fence, and collided with a tree.

The driver of the car, 26-year-old Julie Turner, was taken to a nearby hospital.

25-year-old Blaze Turner, and a 10-month-old child were taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The 6-year-old victim was transported to a nearby medical center, but was declared dead upon arrival.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
