Child Injured in Albuquerque, NM, School Bus Accident on Coors

Albuquerque, NM -- May 4, 2017, a child sustained injuries following an accident in which he was struck by a school bus on Coors Boulevard.

Authorities from the Albuquerque Police Department were called out to he scene of the accident at around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Coors Boulevard and Paseo Del Norte Boulevard.

According to preliminary investigations, a schools bus was leaving a stop after picking up students. As it did so, a 10-year-old boy was crossing the roadway in front of the bus. As a result the bus struck the child in the roadway.

Emergency services came to the scene and transported the child to a nearby hospital. His injuries were serious but non-life-threatening.

At this time, police made no indication of charges being considered. Their investigations are ongoing.
