One Killed, One Hurt in Accident on Grundy Road in Birch, WI

Birch, WI -- A crash in Birch, WI claimed the life of an unidentified person and left one injured Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

The collision took place on Grundy Road around 5:30 p.m.

It appears the vehicle occupied by the victims was traveling along Grundy when it careened off the roadway, crashed into a power pole and collided with a group of trees.

The unidentified driver of the vehicle was found alive, but unresponsive. However, responders were unable to revive him. The 21-year-old passenger of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
