Richard Tant, Marquis Dawson Injured in Bloomington, IL, Accident

Bloomington, IL -- May 3, 2017, Richard Tant and Marquis Dawson were injured following an accident where two 18-wheelers collided.

The Bloomington Police Department reported on the two vehicle accident, which they say occurred near the intersection of I-55 and West Market Street at around 3:00 p.m.

Preliminary investigations show that 40-year-old Jevon Armour was driving an 18-wheeler along southbound I-55 with 26-year-old Tant as a passenger. For reasons not entirely clear, the 18-wheeler failed to stop in time to avoid rear-ending another 18-wheeler in southbound lanes driven by 41-year-old Dawson.

Following the collision, Tant and Dawson were both taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries said to be non-critical. Armour was not injured.

Police say Armour was issued a citation for failure to control speed. No further information is currently available.
