Guadalupe Vasquez Hurt in Accident in Victoria, TX

Victoria, TX -- A collision between a passenger car and a motorcycle left 20-year-old Guadalupe Vasquez with injuries Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

The incident took place near 4000 Houston Highway around 3:20 p.m.

According to the police report, it appears the victim was riding the bike eastbound on Houston when a Crown Victoria pulled into his path. Mr. Vasquez's motorcycle then collided with the car, leaving Mr. Vasquez hospitalized.

It is unclear if the driver of the car, 63-year-old Pamela Higginbothom, faces any citations in the incident.

The current condition of Mr. Vasquez remains unclear.

The investigation in the crash is ongoing.
