One Injured in Dallas, TX, NTTA Truck Accident on Dallas North Tollway

Dallas, TX -- May 4, 2017, one person sustained injuries following an accident in which a car crashed into an NTTA truck along the Dallas North Tollway.

Officials from the Dallas Police Department reported that the incident happened just after midnight near the intersection of the North Tollway and Mockingbird Lane.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a North Texas Tollway Authority truck had pulled over in the center lane of the tollway with lights flashing in response to a previous crash scene. As the truck sat on the roadway, it was suddenly struck from behind by a Tesla that somehow failed to avoid it.

Emergency services transported the driver of the Tesla to a nearby hospital with injuries said to be non-life-threatening. No additional injuries were reported.

Police have not said if any charges or citations resulted from the accident. They say investigations are ongoing.
