Esteven Flores Injured in Lubbock, TX, Hit-and-run Accident

Lubbock, TX -- May 3, 2017, Esteven Flores sustained injuries resulting from an accident where he was hit by a pickup that then fled the scene.

The Lubbock Police Department responded to the accident scene at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 94th Street and University Avenue.

According to their reports, 18-year-old Flores was at the corner of the intersection, reportedly interacting with someone in the suspect pickup. There appears to have been some sort of confrontation between the two parties, and at some point the pickup sped off. Somehow in the process, Flores was run over by the vehicle and injured. The vehicle left the scene.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and Flores as transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Police say the search for the suspect vehicle continues.
