Jeffrey Smith and Shirley Smith Killed, One Hurt in Accident in Temple, TX

Temple, TX -- A collision between a passenger vehicle and a dump truck led to the death of Jeffrey Smith and Shirley Smith, and left one hurt Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

The incident took place on State Highway 95 around 3:11 p.m.

It appears the two victims were in a Toyota sedan traveling along SH 95 when for unknown reasons it collided with a dump truck. The exact cause of the incident had yet to be determined at the time of the report.

Mr. and Ms. Smith were killed in the collision.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries, yet was not transported to the hospital.

Local officials are investigating the details of the incident to determine the exact cause.
