One Killed in Suspected DUI Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accident near 2900 Knight Street in Shreveport, LA

Shreveport, LA -- An alleged alcohol-related crash in the area of Shreveport, LA led to the death of an unidentified pedestrian Saturday, April 29, 2017.

The incident took place in the vicinity of 2900 Knight Street around 10:45 p.m.

Police officials say the pedestrian was walking along Knight Street when he was struck by a southbound passenger vehicle. The victim, only described as a white male, was killed at the scene of the incident.

Authorities say they believe alcohol was a factor in the incident. The driver of the passenger car, 55-year-old Michael Daniels, has since been charged with Vehicular Homicide related to the crash.

The investigation is underway.
