One Killed in Train Accident at Airport & Richmond Roads James City County, VA

James City County, VA -- An incident between a pedestrian and a train led to the death of one unidentified person Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in James City County, VA.

The incident took place at Airport and Richmond Roads around 6 p.m.

According to police officials, the man was walking across the tracks at the intersection when he was struck by a CSX Railway train. The media reports claim the gates were down when the man was struck by the westbound train.

The exact cause of the incident remains unknown.

Further information regarding the deadly incident may be forthcoming pending the conclusion of the investigation.
