Michael Flores Killed in Accident in San Bernadino, CA

San Bernadino, CA -- A suspected alcohol-related incident in the area of San Bernadino, CA claimed the life of 3-year-old Michael Flores Thursday, April 27, 2017.

The incident took place at the intersection of Base Line and Davidson Avenue around 10 a.m.

The driver of the car that struck the boy, 34-year-old Crystal Marie Fuentes, had allegedly just been released from jail on suspicion of public intoxication hours before the deadly incident. According to reports, the woman was attempting to pass vehicles that had stopped at the intersection to allow Michael Flores to cross, when she struck the boy.

She then went on to strike a truck, finally stopping two blocks away.

Ms. Fuentes was arrested and charged with several offenses related to the crash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
