Man Killed in Gardnerville, NV, Truck Accident on US 395

Gardnerville, NV -- April 234, 2017, a man was killed due to an accident where his collided head-on with an 18-wheeler on US Highway 395.

Authorities from the Nevada State Highway Patrol released preliminary details surrounding the fatal crash. They say that it happened in the afternoon hours near the intersection of US Highway 395 and Ray May Way.

According to police officials, a man, whose identity was not released, was traveling along the highway in a Cadillac. As he did so, the Cadillac somehow lost control and drifted over into oncoming traffic. As a result, it crossed into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler, and the two vehicles crashed head-on.

By the time emergency services arrived, the driver of the Cadillac had died at the scene. The truck driver's condition was not given.

Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
