Monique Robinson Killed in Accident in Alsip, IL

Alsip, IL -- Monique Robinson, 28-years-old, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the area of Alsip, IL Sunday, April 30, 2017.

According to the report, Ms. Robinson's Chevy was headed north on I-294 around 2:22 a.m. when for reasons unclear it lost control. The vehicle then collided with a wall, stopping in the middle of the interstate. The victims vehicle was then struck by a passing Kia.

Ms. Robinson was taken to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the crash.

The official investigation into the crash remains open.
