Chris Barnes Killed in Demopolis, AL, Truck Accident

Demopolis, AL -- December 28, 2016, Chris Barnes sustained fatal injuries after an accident where he was struck by a semi-truck.

According to an accident summary released by the Occupational Safety and Healthy Administration, the incident occurred along County Road 13 outside Demopolis.

Barnes was working for C & H Trucking at the time, a company which specializes in hauling lumber. In a series of events which the report did not detail, Barnes was somehow struck by a truck and sustained fatal injuries.

The report did not indicate whether or not the truck was Barnes's own vehicle, if a co-worker was driving the truck, or what Barnes was doing at the time of the accident. It's also unclear what factors caused the incident to happen.

No further information has been reported. Additional details will require independent investigations.
