Dion Christy & Neveah Brown Killed, Three Hurt in Accident on Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland, CA

Oakland, CA -- Monday, April 1, 2017: Two people, 23-year-old Dion Christy and 5-year-old Neveah Brown were killed, and three were hurt in a three-vehicle collision in the area of Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland, CA.

At the time of the report, it appeared the a white box truck was stopped on the right shoulder of the interstate after becoming disabled. Within moments, a BMW collided with the truck, veered back on the roadway, where it collided with a Ford F-250.

Two passengers, an adult and a child, in the BMW were killed at the scene of the incident. Three others in the passenger car were left with injuries.

The exact cause of the incident remains under investigation.
