Krispen J. Kriner Killed, Hallah J. Sbita Hurt in Accident in Hazelton, PA

Hazelton, PA -- A collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck claimed the life of 36-year-old Krispen J. Kriner and left 33-year-old Hallah J. Sbita with injuries Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

The incident took place on Interstate 80 around 7 p.m.

According to the police report, the vehicle occupied by the victims was headed along 80 when it veered off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a guardrail, careened back onto the highway, colliding head-on with a semi-truck.

Both occupants in the passenger vehicle were left trapped following the collision.

Once freed, Ms. Sbita was taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Mr. Kriner was killed in the incident.

The official investigation is ongoing.
