Woman Injured in Bryan, TX, Car Fire Accident on 29th Street

Bryan, TX -- May 1, 2017, a woman was injured following an accident in which her vehicle and another collided on 29th Street, causing a fire.

Authorities from Bryan PD and emergency crews were called out to the accident scene at around 8:30 p.m. The crash happened at the intersection of East 29th Street and East Villa Maria Road.

According to preliminary information, a 55-year-old Woman was driving an SUV along the roadway when her vehicle and another somehow collided into each other. This collision caused the SUV to run off-road and overturn onto its side. The SUV then began to catch fire.

The woman was trapped inside of the vehicle and had to wait for emergency crews to rescue her. They were able to extract her in time before the fire spread, and she was then taken to a nearby hospital. Her injuries were not specified. No other injuries were reported.

The exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined. Police continue their investigations.
