Christopher Franks Killed in Accidental House Fire in Newton, TX

Newton, TX -- A house fire in the area of Newton, TX claimed the life of 32-year-old Christopher Franks Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Police officials say the man was the occupant of a residence on County Road 4001. For reasons unclear the home caught fire, leaving Mr. Franks unresponsive.

Responding emergency crews were able to rescue the man from the burning residence, but were unable to revive him.

Mr. Franks was declared dead at the scene of the incident.

At the time of the report, officials had yet to determine the exact cause.
