Ryu Pena Killed in Accident at Thrift Store in Mankato, MN

Mankato, MN -- An incident in a dressing room at a thrift store in Mankato, MN claimed the life of 4-year-old Ryu Pena Monday, March 20, 2017.

The incident happened at Again Thrift Store & More.

It appears the boy was in the changing room when for reasons unclear his hooded sweatshirt got caught on a hanger on the wall. Though the specifics are unclear, the boy was eventually strangled. The report claims he was unsupervised for only a short while.

The investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.

The preliminary press release provided no further information at the time of its release.
