Manor, TX: Travis County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Hurt in Accident at US Highway 290 & FM 973

Manor, TX -- A three-vehicle crash between a passenger car and a police motorcycle left an unidentified officer with injuries Saturday, March 18, 2017.

The incident happened at US Highway 290 & FM 973 around 6:45 p.m.

According to the report, the deputy was operating his bike when a car struck a second vehicle behind him. The collision caused the second vehicle to strike the rear of the motorcycle, throwing the officer from the bike and into a ditch.

The officer's injuries remained undisclosed at the time of the report. The report claims the victim refused hospitalization, however.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

Authorities are investigating the scene of the incident to determine a cause.
