Ivan de Jesus Guerrero, Carlos de Luna Killed in Zavala Co., TX, Accident

Zavala County, TX -- March 12, 2017, Ivan de Jesus Guerrero and Carlos de Luna were killed after an accident where their vehicles crashed head-on.

According to Zavala County Sheriff's Department officials, the two-vehicle accident happened around 3:30 p.m. just west of La Pryor.

Preliminary details indicate that 19-year-old de Luna was driving a car along Highway 57 when, police say, the vehicle suddenly lost control. It crossed over the center line into the path of an oncoming car driven by 35-year-old Jesus Guerrero. The two cars crashed head-on.

As a result of the collision, de Luna and Jesus Guerrero were killed. Several other people were injured in the accident, some critically. Authorities did not specify any details regarding those individuals.

At this time, the exact cause of the accident is still unknown. No additional details are currently available.
